Beloved: Movie vs. Novel In reading Toni Morrison's novel, Beloved, one can help but be emotionally drawn in to the descriptive stories and tones of the novel. I do recommend that anyone who reads the novel watch the movie as well. It makes the viewer accept the time period and the novel a whole lot more. The vivid scenes and the suspenseful plot set the table for a good movie and great follow-up to the conclusion of the novel.
