Although the two novels When the Legends Die by Hal Borland and April Morning by Howard Fast have very different themes and plots, they share many similarities through quotes. to, in layman's terms, toughen up and deal with it. This manifested Tom's shift into adulthood.
Overall, it is pretty evident that the quote I chose to link the two novels we've read has many ways of relating Tom's situation to Adam Cooper's. This quote connected both characters change into manhood, their recognizing that they will permanently remain adults, and the fact that their childhoods were much different and less traumatic than their later life.
