Born on December 25, 1918 into a family of thirteen children, Anwar was a very strong man. He grew up 40 miles north of Cairo in the town of Mit Abul Kom, Egypt; which is in the province of Minufiya. Sadat's father worked as a clerk in a local military hospital, which got Anwar very much into the military business. By the time of his birth, Egypt was in the becoming of a British Colony.

This shows how him and the people who inspired him were alike, like him and Ghandi. It shows that he didn't want any more war between Egypt and any Israeli country, or even any Arab country and an Israeli country. He didn't think that war would gain anyone happiness, because all it did was kill innocent people. I think Anwar Sadat was a great man, and it was too bad other people didn't see that.
