When family television programs first originated the values expressed in these shows were very different from the ones we see today. We viewed three current family programs and found that each program conveys a different message to their audience. The program's names were Seventh Heaven, Everwood, and Gilmore Girls. After watching Seventh Heaven, Everwood, and the Gilmore Girls I have seen the different family styles and the values that are the result of that. Despite the controversial subjects on these family shows I believe that it might be helpful for parents who need a little push to talk about such import topics with their children.
