The United States has done some terrible things to the people who have come to this country looking for a better life. The plight of the Chinese, Irish, and Mexican immigrants has happened to other cultures that have immigrated to America, but the situation for many of these immigrants has dramatically improved over the recent years, and with hope the future will bring more improvement.
