John Adams was born in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1735. He was the son of John and Susanna Boylston Adams. He was raised in Braintree (now Quincy), Massachusetts. As a young man, John went to School in Braintree and entered Harvard college at age 16. Latin, history , and law were his majors.
