given that he doesn't, if truth were told, want to accomplish it. He knows the guilt that it will result in and desires to get it over with fast. After he kills Duncan, he immediately feels guilt towards his actions and takes attention to the obstacles that he now has to face because he knows that it is not over. The murder and the obstacles ahead append to the insane man that he will become.
