As a result the California Special was sold exclusively to California. Also a High Country Special was sold in the Denver area. Ford also used a Sports Sprint. The Sports Sprint was a six-cylinder mustang that was designed like a GT but instead of the high horsepower V8 engine it had a 200 six cylinder.
