Teenagers make up 10 percent of the population, and account for 14 percent of highway deaths. Elderly people are death risks as well. Adults, 65 years or older, make up 13 percent of the population and account for 14 percent of highway deaths. So why aren't they lobbying for new laws restricting elderly driving privileges? Grandma can vote. Junior can't.
