The debate about quality versus quantity occurs in a variety of settings: Is twenty pages better than ten for a term paper? Is an all-you-can-eat buffet preferable to a gourmet meal? Is a huge lawn more desirable than a small yard? As a society, we tend to value the quantity of productivity to determine how successful a person is. quality, but again, I believe quality is a more meaningful criteria for judging worth.
Each person's idea of self-worth is based on many factors, including productivity. If we focus on this particular standard for evaluating worth, however, we lose sight of the fact that quality is just as important -if not more so- than quantity. For this reason, we should not cling to the false belief that "the more we do, the more we're worth."
