Racism is a blatant problem in the United States. It is something that has been interwoven into our nation's history and foundation through slavery and oppression of minorities, but this in no way justifies or excuses it. We may have thought the cycles of racism were diminishing with each generation, but if we continue to treat people differently based solely on the color of their skin, we will see these newly formed cycles become ravishing diseases of society.
