What Does Macbeth Say About Kinship? -How?
Macbeth was written just after the gunpowder plot in 1605, this was a severe act of treason and the people of Britain needed something to rest their spirits that it could happen again. Shakespeare wrote this play to quiet the rabble at the top layer of the play, but if one were to investigate more deeply one would find his true beliefs of kingship at the time.

It can be seen that the character of Macbeth was created almost as a political scapegoat and propaganda tool for Shakespeare. His rule is a "what would happen if..." character. But Shakespeare has changed the information from historical sources so as to achieve this effect. Shakespeare shows this very well through subliminal and connected messages that are associated with Kingship. He also shows that Kingship is a Divine Right and fit only for Kings.
