United States citizens often believe that politics are only for the elite with superior educations and grand amounts of money. try and get more people involved by addressing the issues on a more personal basis. Door to door canvassing is not seen as much as it used to. Everything now is done through mass media and electronically. Politics is, as Lasswell simply described it, "who gets what, when, and how." The beauty of America and our Constitution is that we actually have a say so in distributing those resources, as our authors have effectively demonstrated.
