The murder of anyone, including criminals, cheapens human life, sacrifices human dignity, and defies human morality. While the population does deserve to be safe, that safety should not come at the expense of human life. If we allow execution for one crime, the bloodthirsty public will push for another execution. While the government tries to protect society from criminals, who is protecting society from itself?
