The Korean War was a bitter three year struggle between ideologies and the control of the South Asian peninsula. Between June of 1950 and July of 1953, communist North Korea with the aid of China and the Soviet philosophy battle against the United Nation forces composed of democratic nations.

years, the Korean conflict ended inconclusively without the closure we usually expect, in a frustrating stalemate with no winner or loser. Without the dramatic events for news organization's to report and an unsatisfactory stalemate lasting two years, America's attention span diminished. The American tendency of turning away from a war in which there were no clear victors adds to the notion that what happened in Korea over 40 years ago can be called a 'forgotten war'.
