The San Miguel Arcangel mission is located neare the town of San Miguel.Spanish Fray Fermin Francisco De Lasuen and soldiers founded Mission San Miguel Arcangel in 1797. Salinan Indians built the mission. Mission San Miguel Arcangelis the 16th mission out of the 21 built. The mission was founded 28 years after the first mission was founded.
