The rush of these groups brought over many different types of people with different goals in there immigration to America. One of these groups was the puritans. is because they actually modeled something that people could approve upon. On the other hand the puritans didn't model anything different then what was already present back across the Atlantic in England. Also the instability of the puritan colonial society was far from the point where it would want to be mimicked or modeled by anyone. It is because of all of these facts that the puritan colonial societies were far from a "model society".
