The Renaissance period is an era to be remembered for a variety of reasons, including the production of great literary pieces of work. Many famous writers became prominent during this period. Dante Alighieri, Francesco Petrarch, and Giovanni Boccaccio are a few good examples of these types of writers. All three of them shared the same views in respect to how "life is a journey". Which obviously demonstrates that Boccaccio also believe in the view "life as a journey", however Boccaccio does not only focus one problem and journey, he instead focus on many different types of journey's that are taken throughout the book, for various reasons. During the 2nd Day of the 7th Novella, "the Sultan of Babylon sends his daughter off to marry the King of Algarve" (II-7, 125), on her journey she faces numerous obstacles.
