While it may be true that a group under persecution will turn to each other for strength, the Holocaust deniers would still exist even without this persecution. Although the attacks of the Jewish leaders might stir a few deniers to boldly defend their perception, the revisionists survive because they are loyal to their beliefs, not because of opposition.
